These past 3 wks

The beginning of this year hasn't been the greatest. Besides obviously not being a mommy or being pg yet, my body reminded me again that it doesn't like me much. After having a heavy period for 8 days (from the 2nd-9th of Jan.) I continued to spot for a wk. After e-mailing my Gyn she decided that since last month (Dec. 2012) I had a pap (which came out normal) and at that time I had also being spotting on and off, it was best to have a biopsy done. The appt was made the 11th and it was scheduled for the 15th. So, since I had never a biopsy or any surgery done I started freaking out about the whole thing. Then after several hours of google research I was not only freaking out about the procedure, but the results =(.
I had a endometrial biopsy, (basically my dr. scrapped removed some **2** samples of cells from the lining of my uterus. The whole actual procedure lasted about 5 mins (plus 5 mins of prep/ 5 mins after) so although it doesn't last long, the experience it self for me was quite painful. My dr. recommended to take ibuprofen 1 hr before. From what I read on google, some drs. will give pts a local anesthesia shot or spray down there minutes before the procedure, but others don't. I was hoping my would, but that wasn't the case. The procedure was PAINFUL, quite PAINFUL for me. Especially when she took the 2nd sample =( After she finished and removed all the instruments from me I felt dizzy and my knees were shaking from the pain. I didn't want to move at all and felt like I was going to pass out. I had very bad cramps, the worse I've ever had, and felt like something was still pulling my uterus from the inside.
Good thing my husband took me and I didn't have to drive back home. The whole time I felt horrible. The rest of the afternoon we relaxed home and I didn't do a lot of moving. Hubby was nice and I appreciated that =)
I stayed home the next day because the cramping was still kinda strong (not as the day before, thank God) and I had some bleeding from the procedure.
As for the results there 3 reasons (per my dr.) they do endometrial biopsies.
1. Hormonal abnormalities
2. To check for polyps
3. Cancer/precancer cell
all of those 3 can cause abnormal bleeding/bleeding between periods, which I had/have.
For 7 days I kept hoping and praying my results wouldn't be the last one. Of course w/every day that passed I became more anxious about my results, especially the last 3 days. Thank God, I got my results today and they came out normal =)
Basically I have #1 (which make sense, since I have PCOS)my gyn wants me to take Provera (hormones) to help me regulate my period for the next 2-3 months (10 days of each month) and we are hoping that will stop the spotting.
The plan for now is to return to the RE office after I finish w/Provera, (around April/May) so I better get my butt moving so I can be 20-30lbs less when we do go back to the RE. We are not getting any younger, and times goes flying.
p.s: We are open to adoption =)

Love this lil' girls =) They are smart and funny, you can see their personalities developing as they grow and I can't believe helped feed them and at least once changed their diaper. I love them and love to see them grow, I just hope I can do that one day w/one of my own...
