Lovely weekend.

It's monday and while it may be my less fav. day of the week I don't mind it as much. This past weekend was a nice one =). Not like the other weekends have sux, but this one was extra nice because on saturday I got to enjoy most of the day w/ my 3 younger/full of energy little nieces, and on Sunday J and I went out on an actual date. We had not done that in quite a while and it nice to go out as a couple, hang out and relax, not just running errands or worrying about getting to work on time. We agree that we (J & myself) need to do it more often, so we going to start going out on a date at least once a month every month. It's nice give each other space to do what we want, but if we don't make time for us now what's going to happen when we have kids? (which hopefully will happen sometime) I hope we stick to it. I plan on it =)

My 3rd camera bag came in Saturday. No more camera bags for a while, but I'm happy w/my collection.

 

Yes, it's true

I have 3 very good valid reasons:

1. It's gonna be our 5 year wedding anniversary <3

2. Fall (autumn) is my fav. season. Love the weather, the trees, the leaves and I can't wait to hopefully take many (nice) photos =p

3. My hubby and I will (hopefully) finally get to take a mini-vacation, which we both very well deserve!
So there you have it. Sorry summer, but you gotta go!

2nd week of vacation...

This week was very uneventful. I didn't get to do much or go out much. Since J. started working monday and we only have one car for now, I stayed home all day for 3 days. I guess you can say that at least I got a lot of rest and did a lot of house cleaning. Aside from doing the house chores, I watched tv, surf the net and relaxed. Yesterday, I did some shopping after J came home from work. Today My SIL picked me up and I did some laundry @ my parents house, we watched a (kinda) scary/suspence movie and had some pizza. I'm guessing I problably gained about 3-5 lbs during this 2 wks off =(.
Even though we didn't get to go out of town I'm happy that J has a job now. Much better than the last one, I'm hoping things get better for him, for us! =)

1st week of summer vacation =)

It's saturday and I have to admit that my 1st week of vacation passed too fast =(
The first 6 images were taken last saturday after I got out of work (and officially started vacations). My parents were having a bbq and invited us (hubs. couldn't go since he was out helping a friend). Food was good and it a nice way to welcome my 2 wks of rest. Even though we are not leaving town for my vacation, I have enjoyed not having to wake up to an alarm every day among other things. Like hanging w/my hubby and family.

 

We played w/glitter and made bubbles. My mom made some pretty bigs ones, like the size of a human head!

 

 

 

 

 

 

On monday we (sil-nieces and me) had a yummy breakfast then went to the park.

 

 

 

 

On thursday, my husband and I ran some errands and then grab some yummy sandwiches for lunch. It was a good day =)

Enjoy the little things...

I've been thinking about how sometimes we seem to focus on the big things and kinda forget about the little stuff. So I made a list of little and simple things I enjoy (some might even seem silly).
1. Cuddling =) (usually it relaxes me)

2. Clean sheets and clean pillowcases. I really enjoy the smell of them, specially on the first night I change them.

3. Homemade food. I may not be the best cook, not as good as my mom, but I still prefer my homemade meals than fast food.

4. Relaxing on the couch watching a movie or a silly tv show (like bridezillas or the bachelor/ette) with a nice smelling canddle on the side table =)

5. Sunsets...even if I only get to see them from the window.

6. Conversations w/my husband, specially about the future. We talk about the dog and cat we would like to get and most importantly about the boy and/or girl we hope and pray we get to have one day.

Yesteday my husband I blew some bubbles =)

Had fun @ Alameda beach w/mom and 2 nieces. It was not really hot, but still sunny and nice enough for a walk on the beach =)
